Day 1: Hike from Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
In the morning, a guide and a mountain support team will meet you at the hotel to get ready for the journey. You will then drive to Kilimanjaro National Park's eastern entrance: Marangu Gate (1,879 m). After swiftly completing the formalities for climbing permits and weighing the porters' luggage, you will start your hike to Mandara Hut (2,720 m). The trekking path goes through the rainforest (where tropical showers are quite likely), so we advise you to bring not only extra clothes but also your raincoats. Upon reaching the camp, our mountain support team will handle the essentials, and prepare dinner.
Along the Marangu route, you will spend your nights in designated huts. These provide an excellent option for those who prefer not to sleep in tents.

Day 2: Hike from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
After breakfast early in the morning, the group will leave Mandara Hut to embark on a moderate trek to the second high-altitude camp: Horombo Hut (3,720 m). Upon reaching the camp, you will enjoy views of two volcanoes simultaneously: Kibo and Mawenzi.
During your journey, you will pause mid-way for lunch and a brief break before resuming the hike. Upon reaching the camp, you'll take a short rest lasting about 30 to 40 minutes. Afterwards, you'll embark on an acclimatization hike towards Kibo Hut, gaining 200 meters in altitude, and then return to Horombo Hut where dinner will be ready for you.
